The stadium is actually Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium or HPCA Stadium is a cricket stadium and the amazing thing about the stadium is, it is located at the altitude of 1457 meters above the sea level and the best thing about the stadium is the background. You get to see snow-capped mountains and thick forest in the background.
The stadium has an elaborate and colorful architecture. If you are visiting Dharamsala, experiencing a game at this stadium is a must-do. You can check out the stadium even if there is no match scheduled on that day. A section of the stadium remains open for the visitors.

HISTORY

The stadium was built in the year 2003 and the first international cricket match was held in the year 2005 which was a warm up match between India and Pakistan. The first ODI was held in 2003 and the first T-20 was held recently in 2017. The stadium has an audience capacity of 23000 people.

WEATHER AND WHEN TO VISIT

The stadium is open all days and you can visit the stadium from 3 PM to 6 PM. The weather here is moderate and the place is one of the best places to visit in Dharamshala.
You can take a taxi or a car from Dharamshala bus stand or from your hotel to reach the stadium. This is one of the places you shouldn’t miss out on at all.
